Anen, born Antonio Enrique Ginocchio Donayre on December 04,1966 in Lima, Peru. He is a guitarist, singer, songwriter and producer of the Reggae musical genre. He comes from a family of musicians. His father and brothers are all Peruvian musicians.
His Career Launch
He iniciated his career in 1987, doing music projects such as Hojas CK’s.He was invited to the White River Reggae Bash show in Ocho Rios Jamaica in 1994. While there he recorded two singles called ‘Claudia” y “Por Ti” at the Irie Fm radio station. Both songs were produced by Jamaican producers Stephen Stewart and Barry O’Hara. “Claudia” became a hit in Peru.
Anen Lived in Jamaica
In the year 2004 the returned to Jamaica to work on a project as a solo artiste. He recorded his first album “Black Soul” at a studio in Port Antonio. The album was launched in 2005. ‘Black Soul is a mini album which has only four songs:”Black Soul”, “Tú Allá Yo Aquí”, “Madre”, and “Revolution”. The title song “Black Soul” became his first commercial single.
Also in 2004, he registered at the Edna Manley School of Music and Visual Arts in Kingston where he studied courses in music and voice training. His studies in Jamaica which lasted for four years ended in 2008.
The First Latin Album To Be Recorded In Jamaica
In 2007 he recorded his second album called “Change:Cambio” in Kingston, Jamaica. The completion of his work on this album made him the first Latin reggae artsite to record a complete album in Jamaica.The album included colabortion with the best Jamaican musicians of the Reggae genre such as : Sly Dunbar (drums for Black Uhuru, Rolling Stones, Cindy Lauper, Peter Tosh, producer for Sinead O`Connor), Robbie Shakespeare (bass guitar for Black Uhuru, Peter Tosh, Producer de Sinead O`Connor), Daniel “Axe Man” Thompson (bsss for Richie Spice), Robbie Lynn (keyboard player for Dennis Brown, Burning Spear), Stephen Stewart (keyboard player and director for Burning Spear, keyboard player for Toots and the Maytals.) Earle “China” Smith (guitarist for Lee Scratch Perry, Mutabaruka), Obed (Key board player for Bob Marley, Ziggy Marley), Dalton Browne (guitarist and backing vocals for Freddie McGregor, Augustus Pablo), Dean Fraser (Saxophonist for Luciano, Buju Banton, Gregory Issacc, Tarrus Riley), Dwight Richards (trompet player for Buju Banton), Everoll Dayle (trombone player de Buju Banton), Sticky Thompson (percusion for Peter Tosh, Skatalites, The Wailers, Lee Scratch Perry, Ziggy Marley) y Lymie Murray (backing vocals for Freddie McGregor).
In 2014 he produced his third album called “Black Label”, in Brasil.
Awards and Achievements
In 2012 he was invited to the congress of the Republic of Perú, as a representative of the Reggae genre. In 2014 his song “Nossa Noite” from the album “Black Label” was nominated among the top fifty songs on the Peruvian charts.

Anen is one of the most wonderful person I have ever met. He has a beautiful personality and great sense of humour. He is very talented and is a great performer. His music is captivating. He is just one awesome wonderful human being.

I own a copy of Annen’s album entitled Change:Cambio. I listen to Anen songs at least twice per week. I find his voice and music very relaxing. He is very talented, he has a very soothing voice which gives me a nice vibes and always put me in a good mood.I Love his voice, love his talent, love his songs.
