A smooth, heartfelt sound is what you hear combing the vocal chords of Dre Island, born Andre Johnson on May 2, 1988 in Kingston Jamaica

Dre Island is no stranger to the Jamaican music industry. He has done extensive work in the studio as a producer with top reggae artistes such as Julian Marley, Sizzla Kalongi, Jah Cure, Junior Reid, Turbulence, Anthony B and Pinchers, as well as with producers such as Baby G and Jam2.

He launched his career as a professional recording artistes in 2008. Since then he has done a collaboration called “If I could do it again” with Dancehall artiste Ding Dong where they have performed together at  Reggae Sumfest 2010. He has done a solo performance at Shaggy and Friends 2010 Concert; and has also appeared on Rebel Salute 2013.

Destined to become one of the biggest reggae artiste coming out of Jamaica for the year 2013, he is currently working on his debut album “Welcome To Paradise” which features the hot new singles “Rastafari Way” and “Best Girl in the World”. The album is being recorded at the King Jammy’s studio and is produced by Jam2 Records.
