Gran Selecta is a band from Argentina which was started in March 2012. There sound is a fusion of Reggae, Dub and Funk.
The original members are Vigno Denise in on vocals and guitar; Caro Herrera on bass; DJ Chikane on turntables and sampler; Diego Quintana on guitar and vocals; Lyon Manuel Pereyra on guitar and Javier Rubio on drums and sequencer.
Achievements of Gran Selecta
In March 2014 Grand Selecta released their first single “Reggae from Babylon”. They also published their first demo EP, Gran Selecta EP which contains five original songs .
The band has performed at several bars and clubs in Argentina. In 2015 they recorded a show called Ecos en Vivo 2015 from which they released a DVD featuring songs from their EP Gran Selecta.
2016 Projects
From the end of January to early February the band will tour the Atlantic coast of Argentina in places like Necochea and San Bernardo. Already confirmed for January 22 the band will perform at the classic Fiesta de la Flor (flower festival) in Niceto.
The goal of Gran Selecta is to continue growing musically without being closed to the infusion of new ideas and to always be on the constant rise.
