Colombian students visit high school in Jamaaica

We are getting ready to launch our exchange programme in Jamaica for the 2015 academic year.

Jablespañol Cultural Exchange Programme is a one year programme for high school students from Jamaica and Latin America within the ages of sixteen to nineteen years. It corresponds with the academic calendar year of the host country.  Participants are expected to attend local schools as full time students and must participate in at least one extracurricular activity from areas such as sports, music, dance, theatre, and art.

Students get the opportunity to learn a foreign language, live with a family; visit beautiful places; meet interesting people; experience the authentic culture of the host country; share with others their history culture and traditions and broaden their social horizons.

We believe that all our participants will be rewarded with a greater understanding of the cultural nuances between their country and that of the host country. They will be better equipped to serve as future business and political leaders as they will have a better command of cultural matters relating to commerce and socio-political relations.

The programme is designed in keeping with the mission of Jablespañol to foster communication between Jamaica and the Spanish speaking countries through language, culture and travel.

We do hope that the Jablespañol experience will serve to forge future business partnerships between Jamaica and Latin America.
